Lunches week of June 14

Hi Lunch Buddies- forgot to tell you what I’m making you this week!

I had an explosion of Red Peppers (was testing my roasted red pepper tapenade)~ so on Tuesday, lunch buddies will be eating: Baked Barley Stuffed Peppers (modified from the St. Paul Farmers Market Produce Cookbook) – with ground beef; Bread & Grapes

On Wednesday, bring your steak knife to work!  you’ll be enjoying Lamb Chops – from my cousins’ ranch in Montana- with pistachio tapenade (modified from Smitten Kitchen’s recipe), served with Kohlrabi sweet slaw (courtesy of my CSA box last week).

Thursday: Sesame beef stir fry, featuring baby bok choi from my CSA box and homemade 5 spice powder (a blend of peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon, fennel, and anise).  Five spice powder includes all five flavors on the flavor spectrum – sweet, sour, bitter, pungent, and salty.  Did someone say Flavor Flav?  ha!
